Grease lubrication
Grease lubrication is the most-widely used lubrication for rolling bearings. Grease has the advantage over oil for it is more easily retained in the bearing arrangement, particular where shafts are inclined or vertical, and it also contributes to seal the arrangement against contaminants, moisture or water.
The standard bearing of TCB has been filled with high quality lithium base grease of NIGL#2 consistency, of which the operating temperature ranges from - 20OC~+120OC.TCB also can provide other bearings with special lubricant that matches the needs of - 40OC~+300OC ,high speed, quiet operation and excessive load.
Generally, the service life of the grease is longer than the bearing life. But when operating at extremes of temperature, speed, loading ,extended running, or where excessive wet or dirty conditions exist, early grease deterioration may be experienced, in which cases, grease renewal is required. All TCB re-lubricated type bearing units are provided with a grease nipple and grease can be injected by using a grease gun.
